Hey guys! I know I haven't posted in a while, and I apologize for that. I seriously do. But I do have a good (ish) reason! That reason's name is, as you may have (or may not have) inferred from the title, Camp. Camp NaNoWriMo, to be exact.
What exactly is this camp, you may ask? If you haven't heard of it, or of the original NaNoWriMo for that matter, it is this amazingly beautifully awesomely fantastic website where you can write a novel and track your progress in a month. No, that was not a typo, I did mean "a month." I heard that snort of disbelief and saw that raised eyebrow. I'm psychic. Ok, so I'm not psychic. Maybe. But I have gotten that reaction before. My friends just look at me like I'm one donut short of a dozen and ask me "politely" (yeah, sure) how exactly that's possible. Even my parents didn't believe that it was possible. But it is. No, I don't mean a finished, revised, polished, published book. I would dare to say that that IS impossible. But I DO mean a rough draft of a solid book with a beginning, middle, and end. Technically speaking, to "win" NaNoWriMo or Camp NaNoWriMo you have to have 50,000 words or more by the end of the 30 days. It's difficult to balance with school and homework and stuff, but it's fun (in my opinion).
So I just wanted to let you guys know why I most likely will not be updating this thing all month. If you guys actually, you know, read this. So yeah! Bye!
Oh, one last thing - if you haven't clicked on the links to NaNoWriMo and Camp NaNoWriMo yet, go do it! NOW! And if you're a certain friend of mine who has promised to do Camp with me and you're reading this, you had better click that link if you know what's good for you. And you know who you are. ;) (Everyone else, just ignore those last two sentences.)
